Low Polly Project: Kanye West

This project is the outcome of a picture and the use of Adobe's Photoshop. To start off, a picture was needed. After that there were two techniques to make kanye's body. Using the polygonal Lasso tool, every individual triangle was created. From that point there was two different methods. The first method was to just fill in every triangle by selecting a color with the eye drop tool (as seen in the shirt). The other method used was to create an action called the polly effect. First a triangle was needed, then the polly effect was put in place. The effect averaged the color of the triangle and copied and pasted it on to another layer (as seen on the face and hards). After around every 500 layers, it was important to merge them since photo shop tends to get laggy depending on your computer. After all the triangles were finished I played around with the color settings on the shirt by using Command L. Next was the fill in layer, A layer that would end up cleaning up the project. Using the pencil tool and they eye dropper, i filled in all the empty spaces in between the triangles. To finish off the project I used a background that would make Kanye really pop: a black and purple gradient. Photoshop hasn't stopped amazing me, the creativity this program offers is fantastic.
