Helen Mirren Retouching

As the artist of this piece, what was your main objective?

As the artist of this piece, my main objective was not to make Helen look younger, but to create what her daughter would look like. Helen didn't have any children, but I took it upon myself to create a younger version of Helen with photoshop.

What tools did we primarily use for this project?

Many tools were used in this project to make Helen look this amazing. To start off, I used the heel tool to get rid of the bumps on her skin, then i used the patch tool to get rid of a lot of her wrinkles. I changed her lips to make her smile, changed her saggy eyes and gave her some lashes. I added some hair to bring out her facial features.

What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?

Some Challenges I faced included were adding hair, it took many trials to give her those flawless lashes.

Do you feel that there should be a warning placed on retouched images that are used for advertising? Why or why not?

I don't feel there should be a warning placed on retouched images, I feel everyone has retouched a picture before, many not as drastic as others, but how would you draw a line of whats acceptable and not.
